gap filling

Some of you were probably wondering what I've been up to since I haven't blogged since October '06.. I've been pretty much MIA and never on AIM. I'll promise not to use two acronyms in one sentence next time.

Here are some highlights:

  • I'm still living in central, VA. Not sure whether or not I will be moving later this year.
  • -Still working as an IT business consultant, (it will be 3 years in August). The company I'm working for has been doing very well lately and it is only getting better and better. By the way check it out, my CEO recently won Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur of the Year for the Greater Washington area. Check it out the article here.
  • Whenever I have time, I still play music. I've was playing guitar for TB for a while, but then stopped.
  • Everyone is getting married this year; I will have attended 3 weddings by the end of this year.
  • My '04 Acura RSX-S has about 80,000 miles on it already. (I bought this brand new in Aug '04, mind you)

Since April 2nd, I've been working out regularly. I started off with just lifting and occasional tennis but lately, I've been running in the mornings and lifting during lunch. I'm trying to get into premium shape so I'll be ready for some tennis tournaments. I'm also thinking about doing flag football and DODGEBALL!

I took a picture of my progress. I gained some weight after college because I thought I would never find time in my busy daily schedule to go. I found out the best time to workouts is in the mornings and during lunch. After work, all I would want to do is go home and eat a big meal. Diet is a big part too. I eat cereal for breakfast and lean meals for lunch and dinner. I don't consume as much alcohol anymore. Anyways here is a look at my fat ass in April and progress to July.....

This summer I'm planning a few beach trips and going to see some concerts. I'm going to see 311 in VA Beach in a few weeks! In August I will be going to the VIRGIN FESTIVAL!

This will be an awesome lineup including, Incubus, 311, Smashing Pumpkins, Beastie Boys, Modest Mouse, Wu Tang Clan, and the POLICE!!!

Stay tuned for future posts on here. I think I'm retiring Xanga... Myspace is so inefficient.

Later,

DT
